In a village famed for its Pinot Noir, Bruno Clair crafts a rare and refined white Burgundy from a tiny parcel just above the Grand Cru Clos de Tart. “En la Rue de Vergy”, perched on limestone-rich soils, delivers a crystalline expression of Chardonnay with the tension and lift of true Burgundy terroir.
The 2018 vintage brings generous ripeness balanced by vibrant minerality. Aromas of white peach, lemon curd, crushed rock, and acacia blossom emerge from the glass. On the palate, it’s silky yet precise, with layers of citrus, subtle spice, and chalky grip, finishing with finesse and freshness.
A true insider’s white Burgundy—produced in minuscule quantities, it’s a wine that connoisseurs quietly treasure.
Drink now through 2030. Best with 30 minutes in a decanter.
