The 2018 vintage was cooler and more temperate than its predecessors, producing wines of elegance, lift, and aromatic precision. 100% Sangiovese Grosso from estate vineyards averaging over 25 years of age, this Brunello was aged for 36 months in large French oak casks, followed by extended bottle refinement before release.

In the glass, it opens with red cherry, blood orange, rose petal, and cedar, deepening into notes of tobacco, leather, and wild herbs. The palate is supple yet structured, with refined tannins, bright acidity, and a long, savory finish that speaks of Il Poggione’s signature balance between warmth and freshness.
