From one of Montalcino’s most respected traditional estates, the Sassetti Livio Pertimali Brunello di Montalcino 2012 is a wine of warmth, elegance, and classic Tuscan soul. The Sassetti family, with roots in the region stretching back generations, continues to craft wines that reflect the authentic spirit of the northern Montalcino hills—where altitude and limestone soils give Brunello its lift and structure.

The 2012 vintage was marked by a warm, dry summer followed by a perfectly timed harvest, yielding wines of ripe fruit, balance, and generous texture. The Pertimali bottling is built on 100% Sangiovese Grosso, fermented traditionally and aged for 36 months in large Slavonian oak casks before bottling.

In the glass, it opens with black cherry, dried rose, cedar, and wild herbs, layered with notes of leather, spice, and earth. The palate is broad and velvety yet fresh, showing the estate’s signature balance between power and finesse. Fully mature but with years of life ahead, this is Brunello at its most inviting and soulful.
